It doesn’t seem likely that humans will decrease their energy consumption any time soon therefore we will need to continue to find sources of clean energy. I do think conservation is a very important component to our resource management, but finding sources other than fossil fuel combustion seems urgent. Recently, I visited the thumb of Michigan and noticed all the new wind farms “cropping” up in that area. Those frightening looking blades were encouraging to see. Scientific American recently published an article on Nuclear Power that made me remember this “old” source of energy that is being “reborn”. I always have concerns about any source that isn’t completely renewable, like wind, water current, or solar.
